This was formed after wondering whether it'd be possible to recreate Alvin Lucier's 'I Am Sitting in a Room' using the inbuilt microphone and speakers on a home computer.

The answer is no, not really. Neither device was of decent enough quality to capture or recreate what was played previously - after a few iterations it was mostly ear-splitting shriek. So on each iteration I added a low pass filter or slowed what was recorded, then stitched the results together.

This is a collection of bits with different recording lengths or filter and slowing settings, sometimes with sounds being played when the recording process started, sometimes just the noise of the room. The 'Loop' tracks are small excerpts from other tracks stitched together using Audacity. 'Headphones' was created using a USB headset rather than the computer speakers and microphone.
